All Ways to Get The Slayer Form

The main requirement for obtaining the Slayer Form inBaldur’s Gate 3is to select theDark Urge originwhen creating your character. You are free to choose any class, race, and other characteristics. Choosing this origin means that you will have to resist the urge to kill by Wisdom Roll, and if you fail this roll, you will succumb to bloodlust.

However, even if you choose the Dark Urge origin, you will only have three opportunities to unlock the Slayer Form. Players must take advantage of one of the following situations.

Kill Isobel in the Last Light Inn in Act 2

To get the Slayer Form as soon as possible,reach the Last Light Inn in Act 2and meet Isobel. This priestess is the only bastion of defense that protects this place from dark forces, so her death will lead to the inevitable death of everyone inside the inn. After spending some time with her, the party must repel an attack on the inn together, after which Sceleritas Fel will come to you and ask you to kill the girl. If you do this immediately after he asks, you willgain new power during the next Long Rest.

Kill your Lover or Closest Companion in Act 2

The decision to kill the priestess will cause indignation and disgust among your team, but the second option is worse.If you don’t kill Isobel, Sceleritas Fel will still arrive at your camp during the Long Rest. This time,he will ask you to kill your loveror closest companion. By accepting his offer,you will kill your companionin their sleep and receive the Slayer Form as a reward.

Before resorting to the second method, it is recommend to save the game. Immediately after you receive your new form, your companions will wake up and be horrified by what happened. To deceive them and remain a team, you must make aD30 Deception Roll.If you fail this roll, your team will turn against you, and you will have to kill them all. Defeat Orin the Red and Accept the Bhaal gift in Act 3

Lastly, you can get the Slayer Formduring Act 3after meeting Orin the Red in the Temple of Bhaal. To do so, you will have to defeat her in a 1v1 fight. If you win, you will be asked to accept the Slayer Form. However, you can also give up the gift of Bhaal. If you received a cursed form in Act 2, you can give up this form after winning.

How to Use the Slayer Form

Once you have unlocked the Slayer Form, you can use it like any skill. You can transform into Slayer as an Action once per Long Rest. Your health will increase to 98, and you will receive decent increases in Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution. You will gain the passive effectSlayer’s Improved Extra Attack,which gives you two additional attacks after attacking with your main-hand weapon.

Like Druid’s Wild Shape, you can remain in this form until your health drops to 0, or you can transform back to your normal form at will. When you return to your standard form, your characteristics, health, and stats will be at the same level as before the transformation.
