Whether it’s for working remotely, podcasting, gaming, or other at-home creative endeavors, crystal-clear audio is a rising necessity in the modern world. Meetings can go awry when someone’s audio is lacking, communication is essential invideo games likeApex Legends, and misunderstandings can arise when audio is not clear. With that in mind, anyone in the market for high-quality audio shouldn’t overlookAVerMedia’s Live Streamer 350 Mic(also known as the AM350).
While the name Live Streamer 350 would suggest this mic is solely designed forcontent creation, it is much more versatile than that and can work in any set-up for any reason. The mic itself is easy to unpack and install, and it comes with a plethora of extra features to give everyone using it a little edge. Some features might be considered superfluous, but whether someone wants to go the extra mile with their audio or wants something reliable, the AM350 mic delivers.

The bottom line for any mic is obviously the audio, and there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the AM350. The mic audio is crisp and never waivers. If anything, users will need to adjust their speaking voice because, while adjustable, the mic is sensitive. It can pick up a dime drop on the complete other side of a house, and it’ll pick up every rotating fan in the immediate area. Luckily, users can easily adjust the mic’s monitoring options to pick up just what they want it to. It also comes with a nice feature that lets users swap between Cardioid and Omni-direction modes, with the former being recommended for direct use, podcasting, and vocal performances and the latter forASMRand multi-person use.
Even if something can deliverclear audio, the stability and sturdiness of a mic can lead to plenty of problems but that isn’t a concern with the AM350. Standalone, this mic has all the perfect supports, is incredibly sturdy, and feels like it could take quite a few hits without any significant drawbacks. This design is pretty straightforward but that shouldn’t be seen as a negative. The only drawback of its design is that the headphone port, if someone needs to use it, is on the bottom of the mic. While not always a problem, it can be somewhat limiting for headphones, and that’s especially true on a boom arm.

Users can pair AVerMedia’s BA311 boom arm with the AM350 to get that ease of positioning, for the most part. In truth, just about any boom arm should work fine with the AM350, but if someone needs to upgrade, the BA311 is solid as well. It’s easy to put together, the cable management is top-notch, and it’s super modular. We did have to make several adjustments to meet our needs, but once it was set, the boom arm worked well.
AVerMedia’s Vibe Engine software pairs with the AM350 and has everything anyone could think of down to voice modulation. For those who need a mic for content creation,YouTube videos, musical performances, or the like, Vibe Engine is a one-stop shop. It’s pretty simple to use and understand, though it can be somewhat confusing to navigate and turn on and off certain effects. Ultimately, however, it’s a good option for those who need it and nothing to worry about for those who don’t.
The AM350 mic is exceptional for everyday use and comes with more than enough bells and whistles who want something on top of a solid mic. While perhaps it does too much for some users, it’s a solid investment that completes anyPC set-up.
