Assassin’s Creed Valhallahas a long list of items and weapons that players can collect and master. With these armor and weapon options in the game having unique looks, some players have taken to recreating them in the real world. One of the more interesting of these recent fan-made recreations is of the Celtic Cross Shield fromAssassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Assassin’s Creed Valhallatakes theAssassin’s Creedfranchise to 870s Europe, a time period and area known for the expansion of the Vikings. Within the world of the game, there is a long list of activities and side quests that players can undertake in order to earn themselves better gear and weapons. On top of this, the game has different shops in the world where players can upgrade and improve their equipment.

This Celtic Cross Shield was created by Reddit user ForHonorProps and the design is an excellent replication of the original. The in-game shield was added to compliment the items within the Celtic Armor Set inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’sWrath of the DruidsDLCand does so perfectly. In their post, they show off both the in-game shield as well as their own creation side by side. Both the front and back of the shields are displayed here and it is a challenge to differentiate between the two. The creation ForHonorProps shows off is made from resin that was poured into a shield mold in order to create this look and, to match this design, the builder must have spent a great deal of time on the mold. The finished look has the Celtic Cross and runes on the front of the shield and a handle as well as a leather strap on the back.
This creation and tribute to the Celtic Cross Shield fromAssassin’s Creed Valhallais perfect for those looking to cosplay. This real-life shield may not have the strength and abilities the in-game version does, but both are nearly identical in appearance. Unfortunately, this creation must have taken quite a while to design and create, and the creator doesn’t mention if this is part of a series that people can purchase.
Assassin’s Creed Valhallacontinues to be updatedand added to but players may find that the shields or weapons that they have been looking for are actually behind additional purchases. Though the Celtic Cross Shield can be acquired this way it can also be picked up at Reda’s shop. Unfortunately, it can be quite the challenge to find it there without having a tremendous amount of patience.
Then again, there are a long list of other items for players to find, earn through missions, and purchase at shops in the game. And with anotherDLC forAssassin’s Creed Valhallacoming soon, players will likely continue to see new and interesting additions to the game. Either way, this is an impressive creation by anAssassin’s Creedfan.
