In the previousUpdate 1.04.1 forArmored Core 6, the mech game introduced some changes, including balancing tweaks to 10 weapon units and 13 frame parts. Overall, it was a small patch focused on tunning some equipment that was not widely used by the player base. Now, bigger changes are being made, especially to the multiplayer experience, which will be greatly changed.
Today, the game’s publisher Bandai Namco revealed that the new 1.05 update, which will be available on December 19, will introduce a ranked mode toArmored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. In this new mode, players will be able to compete with people with similar skill levels by using the upcoming matchmaking system. As they win battles against their opponents, they will climb in the rankings and the best players will be featured on the leaderboard.
Other changes that the new update will bring include new parts and maps, which could be used inArmored Core 6’s multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, Update 1.05 does not have official patch notes available at the moment. Considering previous updates and leaks, gamers can expect the usual, though, such as balance adjustments to weapons and parts, and bug fixes.
While it continues to improveArmored Core 6,FromSoftware is reportedly working on multiple new projects. A few months ago, the studio started hiring more people to expand its operations and confirmed that it was developing more than one new project at the same time. At the moment, however, it’s not clear what games exactly are being worked on. It’s already known thatElden Ringwill receive theShadow of ErdtreeDLC sometime soon, andAC6is still being supported with constant updates. However, this information hints that at least two games are in production, so it’s unknown whether they are sequels such asBloodborne 2,Elden Ring 2, or evenArmored Core 7, for example, or entirely new franchises.
