The new season ofApex Legendsreleased on November 1 to all players. Eclipse brings a range of new changes,from a new mapto balance and quality of life updates. Thenew Legend “Catalyst"also brings some much-needed gameplay changes to the game, allowing players to adapt their play style to fit a new meta.

Players also have a brand-new form of customization with the stickers, giving players unique ways to change the look of specific healing kits. It’s clear the developers are listening to the community and making changes / adding to the game based on this feedback.
7New Legend - Catalyst
Catalyst is the brand-new Legendadded toApex Legendswith the Eclipse update. She brings a range of new abilities with passive, tactical, and ultimate abilities. The passive ability, Barricade, reinforces doors making them much stronger and locked to enemy players. This also lets players block doorways where the door may be completely destroyed, giving the user lots of freedom to change the map how they wish.
The tactical ability, Piercing Spikes, acts as a trap grenade that only activates when an enemy is in close proximity. However, if an enemy uses this ability,Catalyst will still be immune to it. Finally, Catalyst’s ultimate ability, “Dark Veil,” creates a wall of Ferrofluid that stuns and blinds enemies for a short period of time. This can be extremely useful in a lot of situations, whether the player needs to push an enemy team or retreat from a fight, the Dark Veil is an incredibly helpful tool.
6New Map - Broken Moon
Broken Moon is an entirely new mapadded toApexwith Eclipse. This map brings a few new ways of traversing the terrain, giving players even more mobility for escaping the enemy or pushing toward a fight.
Jump stations allow players to access new Zip Rails to get over terrain that may not have been possible to traverse before without using specific abilities. New locations such as the Eternal Gardens and Bionomics give players unique environments to learn and adapt to. Players may recognize the layout ofsome areas of Broken Moonas they seem to take some inspiration from other maps, such as Olympus.
5Gifting
Gifting is a new feature that players have been requesting for a year or so now. With its addition, players will be able to purchase items from the in-game store and immediately send them to a friend as a gift.
This may sound like a familiar system, as it is already present in other Battle Royale titles such asFortnite. With its addition toApex, fans may see it used in numerous ways, giving players the ability to wager different cosmetics using this system
4Stickers
Stickers are now inApex! However, players may be thinking these can be applied to weapons, similar to the stickers seen in Call of Duty, but they play a slightly different role here. Stickers can be applied to all the healing equipment in the game. This includes the health injector, shield cell, shield battery, and phoenix kit.

Players can find the “Sticker Pack Series 001” in the “special stores” tab up until 22 November. It’s unclear whether players will get a new sticker pack at this point or if there will be a short break before the new one releases. It’s additions like this that keep us excited for future customization opportunities inApex.
3All Legends Unlocked in Firing Range
A major change has been brought to the firing range. Players can now access all Legends in the firing range without needing to unlock them all individually.
This means players can try out each character to see if they like how they play and feel, as well as test their abilities against specific targets. This change means players won’t have to base their unlocks on others' opinions and guides online or just guess which character they may enjoy playing. This has been a much-needed change for a while now and creates a much more accessible environment for all players.
2Battle Pass - Cybernetic
The new Battle Pass, much like the release of every season, brings brand-new cosmetics and items for us to customize our profile and Legends. However, this new Battle Pass is looking like an absolute fan favorite among the community, with some awesome skins unlike any other. There are 2 paid options here; the Premium Battle Pass gives players access to an enhanced experience with more rewards as they level or the Premium Pass Bundle, which also gives 25 levels from the start.

The Battle Pass trailer gives us some awesome insight into the cosmetics that are now available in the game for players to unlock. The Havoc has also got a new cosmetic with the Obsidian Night skin. Players can’t wait to get their hands on this skin and jump into the battlefield.
1Balance Updates
Finally,Apexhas received a range of balancing updates from crate rotations, gold weapons, changes to damage, and ring time changes. Players may be thinking this is slightly unnecessary asthe game is now in Season 15and the game is well established, but as the meta develops and players find new ways to exploit the game changes must be made to keep the experience balanced for all.
