One of the features thatAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsbrought back when the game’s free 2.0 update was released last November 2021 was the addition of Gyroids in the game. At the time, Nintendo not only launched the massive content expansion but also releasedAnimal Crossing: New Horizons’onlypaid DLC Happy Home Paradise. Now, almost a year later since both updates were made available to the community, one of the life sim’s fans has shared that they finally completed their whole collection of Gyroids.
TheAnimal Crossingseries has had a long-standing affair with Gyroids. Through the years, the function of the small item varies depending on theAnimal Crossingtitle a fan is playing through. InAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, Gyroids serve as collectible and displayable figures, inside or outside a player’s deserted island home. With around 189 Gyroids to collect, including the specialGyroid that Brewster gifts players at The Roost, players have to patiently grind daily for a long time to be able to collect and customize each Gyroid to complete the collection.

OneAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsfan who was able to complete such a feat is Redditor werlicher. In their online post, they shared a short video showing off their whole collection ofAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsGyroids. When laid out and displayed, the sheer number of Gyroids in almost every color available looks very impressive. Werlicher likely spent hours digging up Gyroid fragments, planting and watering them daily, as well as spending Nook Points to visit mystery islands for a chance to collect another Gyroid fragment while completing their daily in-game tasks. In the footage, they even had background music on in order to showcase the cute dancing movement of each Gyroid they collected.
Though there are other fans who may have already collected all available Gyroids in the life sim, the community still seems to be quite impressed when they see the items all laid out on a player’sAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsisland. Comments on the Reddit thread congratulated werlicher, especially since they likely knew how long it takes to get the whole set of Gyroids. The Redditor also mentioned that they did get some custom work done on the Gyroids, especially if they dug up any duplicates.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons’sGyroids are one of the many things that fans can discover and collect while they are playing the game. Now that the Redditor has completed the set, it is likely they will find another collection of items to hunt for and showcase on their island.
