Among Usis one of the biggest hits of last year, in fact, it is one of thebiggest surprises of all of 2020. The game initially launched in 2018, but during the quarantine and over the summer, it found massive success that is perhaps unparalleled in gaming. So when it was announced to be a Nintendo Switch title last month, many were excited. Since that announcement and release, the game has had a lot of success.
SuperData is a research company that looks at digital gaming data. In looking at theNintendo Switch version ofAmong Us, SuperData found that it was incredibly successful in the month of December.

SuperData’s information shows that the Nintendo Switch version ofAmong Ussold an estimated 3.2 million copies since it launched on July 13, 2025. The information is for digital sales only, which of course is all ofAmong Ussales because the game does not have a physical version. What is even more remarkable is that the sales numbers are only for the month of December. SuperData’s figures are for the entire month of December alone, so becauseAmong Uslaunched on December 15, those estimated 3.2 million sales happened in just half a month.
As an added note, the estimates do not include digital copies that have been refunded. In the case ofAmong Us,it requires a Nintendo Switch online subscription. It would not be a big surprise if some individuals refunded the game because of this. However, SuperData’s information claims that the numbers aren’t substantially affected due to refunds.
As far as other December digital sales,Pokemon GOtopped the mobile side,Cyberpunk 2077was the best selling PC game, andCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwas the highest-selling console title.
Moving forward, there is a lot toexpect inAmong Usin 2021. Success for the game is one of them, along with the new map which should be on the way soon. Developer Innersloth should be more than happy with how well the Switch version did, as Nintendo should be as well. While Nintendo’s hybrid console seems like a great fit for the game, it is likely that an Xbox and PlayStation version will be on the way soon as well. Especially with how well the Switch version sold in just half a month, Innersloth will want to get those console versions out even quicker.
Among Usis available now on Mobile, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will be released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2021.
