After successfully defending his championship this past Wednesday, Cassidy will put the International Championship on the linein a Blackjack Battle Royale. The 20 competitors who will challenge Cassidy have been revealed as The Butcher, The Blade, Bandido, Komander, Lee Moriarty, Big Bill, Ari Daivari, Tony Nese, Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, Kip Sabain, Rey Fenix, Dustin Rhodes, Keith Lee, Juice Robinson, Jay White, Ricky Starks, Brian Cage, Swerve Strickland, and Penta El Zero M. Some of these men have unsuccessfully challenged Cassidy for the International Championship in the past, but hope for a change of luck this Sunday.

Many competing in the battle royale enter the match with an ally. Cassidy may have the aid of Taylor and Beretta of the Best Friends depending on their strategy. However, Strickland and Cage, Moriarty and Bill, Butcher and Blade, the Lucha Bros., White and Robinson, and Rhodes and Lee have frequently teamed together or come to one another’s aid. While this battle royale requires every man to fight for himself, these men will likely work together to eliminate their biggest threats before turning on one another.

For as many allies present in this match, there are twice as many rivals. Lee and Rhodes have been at odds with Strickland and Cage for several weeks. White and Robinson of Bullet Club Gold have terrorized Starks sinceWhite’s official AEW debutin early April. Cassidy, Beretta, and Taylor have competed against several men in the match as a trio, tag team, and individually several times before. With the current Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions the Lucha Bros. involved in the match, several of these tag teams may have their sights on more than just Cassidy’s International Championship.

With over 20 title defenses under his belt,Orange Cassidy hopes to continue his reignas the AEW International Champion. His recent defense against Aussie Open’s Kyle Fletcher will have the champion coming into the match less rested than some of his competitors. The bad blood between the men in the Blackjack Battle Royale may provide Cassidy with enough distraction to sneak by and retain his International Championship.

AEW Double or Nothing 2023will air live from Paradise, Nevada, on July 11, 2025, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
