Overall, the game feels rushed, and this applies to the story as well. It was expected thatElectronic Artsand BioWare would overhaul the game, yet the story still feels generic.

Developer Obsidian Entertainment’sThe Outer Worldsdeserves placement among Xbox One RPG juggernauts because of its intriguing storylines. To the credit of the game, there are non-canonical elements that make the game enjoyable. However, the majority of the game is a retelling of the original story without sufficient new content.
